10 Signs She Could Cheat On You In Future

Cheaters and liars — those are the woman you want to avoid when getting into a relationship. Luckily, there are really early signs that the one you’re seeing could turn out to be one of them. Check for these 10 signs early on to save yourself a lot of potential pain and heartache.

  1. Her past relationships are a mess. If her romantic history is filled with lots of cheating and scandals, she might be incapable of being faithful to her partners. You know what they say: once a cheat, always a cheat.
  2. She’s weird about the weekends. When you hint at meeting up with her on the weekend, she always has an excuse. She can only schedule you in on random days and times, like a Wednesday at four in the afternoon. This could point to the fact that her weekends are too busy with other men who may or may not already be her partners.
  3. She doesn’t believe in love. When you talk about love via text, she tells you she doesn’t believe in it. Well, that’s reassuring! A person who doesn’t have positive things to say about long-term relationships and love is not someone you should get into a relationship with — you’ll always be waiting for the other shoe to drop or for her to find someone else. If she doesn’t believe in love, it’s worth finding out what she thinks about honesty and loyalty in relationships. Hopefully those are important to her even when love is non-existent.
  4. She excuses cheating. When she tells you about her friend who’s cheating on her partner, she’s quick to say that cheating doesn’t make someone a bad person or she’ll make justifications for why her friend cheated. Um, is there ever a good enough reason for cheating? If she’s okay with forgiving infidelity, that could mean that she’d do it to you and hope to get away with it.
  5. She has sexual anxiety. This is a weird one, but it could predict cheating. A study published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior found that people who suffer from sexual performance anxiety could end up being unfaithful. Hmmm! The question is, are they nervous about sex because they’re having it (or want to) with others?
  6. She doesn’t have a support system. Sure, there are many reasons why she’s fallen out with people. But if she doesn’t have close relationships with friends and loved ones, that could point to someone who battles to create a deep emotional connection with people. After all, it’s the classic move of a cheat to push people away and fear commitment.
  7. She does double takes. There’s no harm in checking out other people, but if your date does this a lot, it could predict future cheating. According to a study by Florida State University, when people looked at pictures of attractive people for a long time (read: when it reached a point of feeling inappropriate), they were more likely to cheat. So, if you’re out at dinner and she keeps staring at someone across the room and can’t seem to pull her eyes away, it’s a bad sign.
  8. Her parents cheated. If her parents’ marriage was riddled with cheating, this could point to her being a cheater. A study published in the Journal Of The International Association For Relationship Research found that there’s a link between parental infidelity and children who cheat. If someone’s father or mother was unfaithful, this can move down through the generations. This is because people who grew up seeing certain behaviors in their parents’ marriage tend to pass it on.
  9. She’s a narcissist. If she shows signs of being a narcissist, such as by having a need to control others, she has a lack of responsibility, and lacks empathy, watch out – she might end up cheating on you. Research has found that narcissists have a more lenient approach to infidelity than other personality types. Reasons for this include how they tend to want more casual sex, engage in sexual interactions without the need for emotional connection, and like to pursue sex that’s adventurous or thrilling.
  10. She has an INTJ personality. One of the Myers-Briggs Personalities that could be linked to cheating is the Introversion (I), Intuition (N), Thinking (T), and Judging (J) personality type. As described on Bustle, INTJ types as they’re known don’t like to be constricted by social conformity. They value their freedom and like to explore areas others wouldn’t because of social boundaries. They also don’t like to be tied down in relationships. So, let her take a Myers-Briggs personality test. Although it’s not a guaranteed way to spot a future cheat, it’s sure to be enlightening!
